Yes, it was a mini-series on TV back in 1988-89. It is almost 24 hours long. A wonderful series. Very Happy

Michaela, the DVD for war and remembrance is available in most places. Most of the internet online store will have it. I already got the VHS but I haven't bought the DVD yet. (Will probably get it this christmas when I am travelling)

This is a mini-series not to be missed... But a word of warning, Have lots of tissue with you.

I also would like to see War and Remembrance. I have heard it is very very good. Best Buy might be a place to get it. They have DVD's that I can't find anywhere else. Or of course the net. You might be able to find it on the net. Go to google or askjeeves and put in the name War and Remembance DVD. and see where that takes you!!

In the local Best Buy store, I priced the DVD set at $109, but I was lucky enough to win it on ebay recently for under $50. The box isn't as fancy as the new ones in the store, but that doesn't matter to me. The DVDs are the same. I loved watching it again!

I am planning to get the asian version but wasn't too sure.

Thanks

Canice~~

I believe it's the Asian version, as it has some Chinese writing on the box, and there are Chinese subtitles, but they can be turned off.

I won it on ebay for just under $30--an incredible price!--but then I paid $16 for shipping, which made me a little mad, because it was in my own city! I emailed the seller to see if I could pick it up for less, but he didn't respond. I wanted it bad enough that I paid the $16 for it to come about 10 miles! Rolling Eyes It still beats $109!
