Thanks to Canice, for those who haven't yet seen Wedding Crashers we have the clips- BTW Canice and I decided to 'edit' the one clip although it's still R rated.

Mary Ann, do you know what's funny? In Germany the movie was rated age 12. Wink

But I'm sure it's because they softened the language in the dubbing. The scenes are still the same. Laughing

Oh, I wouldn't say that. Wink

When I saw Jurassic Park for the first time, I was quite shocked that it was rated 12 years as well, I would have never let a 12-year old watch it. But some kids don't seem to mind. It's the parents that are more sensitive sometimes. Laughing

Anyway, since my son is 17 already, I didn't have to worry about him watching WC. Laughing

At the age of 12... Wow.... At least for us is MA ie Mature Adult 17 years and older.

Mary Ann, should I cut a bit more to make it more M rated. Smile

Anne, I created the "X" rated. I was sending the files to Mary Ann and I don't really know what to use so ending up using "X". Laughing Laughing Laughing

Mary Ann, if I were you, I won't dare to put that up too.

Well I won't be getting that DVD any time soon. It was fine up until he used word I detest came out of Owen's mouth. I see why it is rated R. If you read about the ratings they only will do a R when it has the F word in it. Now I see why it is rated R. I do have the TV guardian on my DVD. But I am afraid most of the movie would be bleeped out, so it isn't worth it to me. I am sure it was good other then that. But thanks for the link.

Wise choice, Carol. Very Happy Without the "f-word," this movie wouldn't make any sense to you, because you'd miss half of the dialog. Embarassed (I don't want it around for my grandchildren to find either.)

It's a very funny premise, it's just a crying shame that Hollywood thinks that it needs to use that language to be funny. It's very sad. Crying or Very sad

Elaine, I tried to edit that word but I was having difficulty with my program, I don't much care for it either but as you say I'm afraid it was pretty much all through it.

It's just such a shame that "they" think it's necessary to use that language to appeal to the public. The movie is very funny, and it's ruined by the language, mostly. It would be just as funny with less crude language. Mad

I look at comedians like Sinbad, Tim Conway and Harvey Corman, and Bill Cosby, for example. They are popular and wonderful, long-time entertainers, and they don't feel the need to use foul language. I saw Tim and Harvey not too long ago, and was in hysterics the entire time. Last spring, Bill Cosby was here, and I should have been sitting on a towel! Embarassed

It saddens me the way Hollywood has "desensitized" the public. And it frightens me to think what will be "entertaining" people when my grandchildren are grown. Shocked

If I do buy Wedding Crashers, it will be kept in a cabinet that is high and out of the reach of children. There are a couple other of Jane's movies in there now, though not because of language. Rolling Eyes
