Barbara Babcock
"Dorothy" on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman

Barbara was featured in the third issue of the DQ Times

"I envision our species, as well as all species whose habitat is Africa, continuing to have in the next millennium and the millennium to follow the forests, the bush, the mountains and the rivers, which have nourished us all in ways well beyond the physical."I envision children knowing, for as long as there are children on this planet, the wonder of African wildlife in the wild."That is why I am giving: to keep the vision alive."--Barbara Babcock

Exciting news for Barbara Babcock Fans!

For the first time ever, Barbara Babcvock will be appearing at the annual Star Trek convention in Las Vegas on Thursday, August. 5th--the first day. The entire convention is Aug. 5-8th, at the Las Vegas Hilton. All the events will be held there, and the hotel is also offering special rates for attendees who want to stay there. While I don't have all the specifics on her appearance, I can tell you--based on our attendance at the con a few years ago--that she'll probably be on the main stage in the large auditorium in the convention center (which holds about 5,000 people) and will talk to the crowd about her "Trek" memories, as well as taking questions from the audience. She'll also be available at some point for photo ops. and autographs (this is definite). For anyone wanting to attend the convention, they have the option of purchasing the "Captain's Chair" package--all four days--for $399, plus the cost of hotel. Fans also have the option, if they wish, to have their photo taken with Barbara and/or get her autograph. These are also separate charges; in Barbara's case, $40 each. For those wishing only to attend on the 5th, or pay general admission, tickets will be available for these options as well. Prices for these tickets will be announced closer to the convention, and fans can sign up to be emailed whenever new information becomes available. All of the above, plus the latest news on all actors attending plus all the events planned so far, is available at http://www.creationent.com/ca//stlv.htm.
