Meeting Jane Seymour for the second time

Once again, my boyfriend Matt and I had the opportunity to meet Jane Seymour, my favorite living actress. (I also like the late Elizabeth Montgomery and the late Lucille Ball.) I heard that Jane Seymour would be at the NY Art Expo again this year so once I found out her appearance times I made arrangements to buy bus tickets. Thankfully, I live in Pennsylvania so a bus drive down to NY is only about an hour and a half drive, which isn't at all bad.

Once we arrived in NY, Matt and I walked over to the Javitz Center where the Art Expo was being held. Once we got inside, we walked straight and it just happened that we were walking in the row where Jane's booth was. I immediately knew so when I saw Jane's new Olympics artwork displayed that I heard about previously. And then I saw Jane. I must say she looked more beautiful than when I saw her last year. I especially liked her skirt.

Matt and I stood nearby her because she was with some other guests of the Art Expo. To my surprise, Jane was speaking French to these guests! So even though I had no idea what she was saying, it was very interesting to hear her speak the language so fluently.

Time passed, and it seemed as if Matt and I were standing there forever waiting for these French guests to get done talking to Jane. But Matt luckily caught her attention and asked for pictures, which Jane agreed to, but then she was busy with some guests who bought some of her artwork. Oh yes, there was a lady having Jane sign her “Walk The Line” and “Wedding Crashers” DVDs and I heard Jane comment to her that “Walk The Line” sold out the first day at Circuit City (I forget which store exactly).

Then, finally it was our turn to be with Jane. She was walked us over to a spot to take a picture and Matt took one of the two of us together first. And of course, the digital camera wouldn't cooperate immediately, and I could hear Jane laugh. After our picture, I asked Jane to sign a notecard with her artwork on it that I had gotten previously online. She gladly signed it and then walked me over to a table where she told me about her new Olympics pins and that were only $15 each.

Then I took a picture of Matt with Jane, but the first got blurry so I retook it. The second picture didn't get out the best, but it's better than the first. Jane then had one of her associates take a group photo, which didn't get either because it was blurry, but I didn't know that until we had left the Art Expo. L Oh well, at least our individual pictures got.

After our pictures, I bought Jane's Olympics pin and admired her new purses/bags with her artwork on them. (When I got home I e-mailed about how much they are and they're $395-$595 each which is a bit too much for me right now with being a college student.)

I also had the pleasure of meeting Mary Ann Marino from the DQ Times. We missed one another last year, both arriving at Jane's stand at different times, but I'm very glad I got to see her this year. And she told me that any boyfriend worth dragging along to see Jane is a keeper. Haha. I highly agree, not solely for that reason though.

For anyone considering visiting the NY Art Expo, I highly suggest going. I'm not really an art person, and didn't care too much honestly for the other stands, but meeting Jane Seymour alone is worth the trip. She's very friendly and very willing to take photographs and sign personal items as well as her artwork. I hope someday I can actually afford one of her pieces with just being a college student now, and I greatly enjoyed my trip to meet her on Saturday March 4, 2006.
