Reminding her audience that she's been "pretending" to be a Bostonian for a long time, Jane Seymour launched a two day event at the Braintree Plaza on January 29th and 30th. On display to the appreciation of the huge crowds who descended on the shopping mall, were samples of the Golden Globe and Emmy winning actress's varied talents from water colors to sculptures to her famous "Open Hearts" jewelry collection and book of the same name. Patrons were given the opportunity of having their newly purchased 'Open Hearts" books signed by the author herself and even taking a photo with her.
Saturday, as spectators and proud parents looked on, Jane was joined by the children from Ginny's Art School in Milton. The school offers six-week sessions of morning classes for pre-school children and afternoon classes for students in Grades K-5. with class sizes limited to ten students. The young artists ranged in age from 5 to 11 and came armed with smiles and lots of imagination as they sat down to "paint with Jane" After the session, each child was given their masterpiece framed to take home, a tangible reminder of a once in a life-time experience. |
